Viñas de Garza

panoramic

The first time I ever visited Viñas de Garza was by happenstance. We were driving down the road on our way to another winery in the Valle de Guadalupe (Guadalupe Valley), when we spied an oasis up on the hill. It looked so beautiful and inviting that we had to check it out. I’m so glad that we did because it’s become one of my favorite wineries in the valley.

Located on the southern fork of the valley off of Mexico 3, Viñas de Garza is a lush and beautifully manicured vineyard and small, family-owned winery. The outside wine tasting bar is located on a charming wooden covered deck with views overlooking the vineyards and bountiful bougainvillea. There are tables and benches where you can spend your afternoon taking in the beautiful views and sipping wine. The boutique winery has been around since 2003 and they take pride in adding a personal touch to their wine making process, which can be tasted in the quality of their wines. They’re creative in their red blends, combining grapes such as Tempranillo, Grenache, Zinfandel and Merlot to create delightful and refreshing wines. It’s not difficult to see why they’re becoming one of the most popular wineries in Baja’s wine country.

Tastings start at 150 pesos.
