Tide Pools

The extreme tides in the fall and winter mean that when the tide goes out to sea, my backyard is turned into a wonderland of tide pools. The sea strips down, revealing some of its treasures, and it’s time to go exploring. Sea anemone, starfish, octopus and little fish suddenly appear in the pools on the beach. Sand dollars scatter the shore. Darla dog can’t wait to discover what the sea has left us.
